Exterior design

The Bayon follows Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design approach. The shape is more upright and boxy than the old Bayon, with a sculpted bonnet and strong fender lines.

What you will notice:

  • Front: Slim LED daytime running lights and the H-Edge lighting signature. Unlike many rivals, the lights are not joined by a full-width bar.

  • Side: Black roof rails, blacked-out B-pillar, body-coloured door handles, ORVMs with LED indicators and a shark-fin antenna.

  • Rear: Inverted L-shaped LED tail lamps, a squared-off tailgate and an integrated roof spoiler.

Hyundai's design head said the goal was a high-tech interior inside a tough exterior, and the reveal images match that idea well.

Interior and comfort features

The cabin is built around two 12.3-inch curved screens, one for infotainment and one for the driver's display. The dashboard layout is similar to the international i20, and the steering wheel is the new unit already seen on the Venue.
